Google Documentation: Protect Gmail with Confidential Mode
Intro:
Gmail has a "Confidential Email" feature that allows you to send a protected email that will require "verification" by the recipient before they are able to view it. These Confidential Emails also have an expiration date of when it will be deleted and the ability to be revoked the email by the sender.
Limitation:
- Confidential Email does not prevent the recipient from taking screenshots or other screen capture methods of your email. Please use your best judgment and only send Gmail Confidential Emails to those you trust.
- Delegated email access can send Confidential Emails but can not read them if it was responded back. It is best practice to send Confidential Emails from your Personal TIU email address, rather then from a department account.
Prerequisite:
- A TIU Gmail email account (@tiu.edu)
- Recipient's email address and SMS phone number.
How to send a Confidential Email from your TIU Gmail account:
